So I went to my therapist the other day, and later in the appointment I mentioned that I like to write self-insert fiction to cope. I also said that I generally hide it and felt embarrassed mentioning it due to the way people treat the concept online.

She said that self-inserting yourself into art and writing is an incredibly healthy way to feel good about yourself, and that she was appalled when I told her about the way it’s mocked on the internet.

So never feel bad about self-inserting or enjoying reader insert fanfiction, 1/1 professionals agree that it’s good for you and that the jerks who say you’re doing something wrong are just uneducated and don’t understand. Never listen to the anons who try to make you feel bad ❀

Have a really nice day!

make that 2/2 professionals. my therapist talked about this too. she also talked about projecting onto characters and said that was an extremely healthy way to cope with things that you’re dealing with and things that have happened to you!!

There are ways to turn it into an unhealthy coping mechanism. But that involves an insularity I rarely see in online communities. You would have to cut yourself off from reality entirely. Most people writing self-insert fiction realize it’s fiction.

THIS^

Roleplaying and inserting my self into a fandom universe is litrerally in part, how I survived dark moments of my life before. Even original stories I have or OC’s are pretty much a reflection of me. Lol. It truly does help as long as it stays a healthy way to cope.

horse people are weird

what does this mean

horses can see demons

Horses flip out and run even though there’s nothing there to spook them

This is why when I got on a pony, and mind you I had never once ridden in my entire life, and this pony, I thought it was a horse. At least, I thought it was pretty big. I was excited, but also so freakin scared that at any moment it would freak out with me on it. It wasn’t even actually to ride rather a show where kids can get on and honestly I weigh nothing and am small, so the owners let me. Lol.

Sadly, I couldn’t last the entire duration cause was too scared and really just thanks anxiety.

hi ducky! do you think you could translate yana latest tweet about guns and the police (i think thats what its about) :0

sorry for the delay in replying!

rough translation:

From Victorian era through to modern times, the British police doesn’t carry guns (though afaik Northern Ireland does) because apparently they think that “no gun should be pointed at citizens”. This is awesome. Hence, in Kuroshitsuji, too, Abberline as well as the other officers don’t carry guns. On the other hand, the Watchdog who is supposed to do things that the police can’t, shoots without hesitation. –Toboso

Lately, I regret that I didn’t elaborate more on the struggles of Abberline and the police, as well as the outrageous behaviour of the Queen’s watchdog [when it comes to investigation]. The reason why Commissioner Randall despises the Phantomhives so much is that he can’t stand their arrogance, acting as though they are above the law (though it’s for the sake of the early solution of the crime). –Toboso

As was the case with JTR arc and Blue Sect arc, it must be really frustrating to the police how – while they are investigating legally and peacefully – the Phantomhives catch the criminal by using immoral methods and firing the gun like mad
 –Toboso

Basically, Ciel is only called upon either when the case has already claimed a lot of victims or when there are still too many uncertainties that the police can’t start investigating. That’s why the Phantomhives aren’t welcomed [by the police]. If I was called “incompetent” by some cheater who comes late and doesn’t even follow the rules at all, I’d punch him. But unlike me, Randall and Abberline act like proper adults [when they meet OC at a crime scene]

Bonus: if anyone’s interested, here’s a bbc article on this issue

Hi. Have you heard of the very recent events going on in Puerto Rico, regarding a Gargoyle-like creature? Well, it happens like this: some farmers wake up to their chicken dead, all their blood drained through holes which are punctured in the neck and chest. It is not the Chupacabra, as the creature was reportedly seen by a local, and it looks like a big gargoyle like bat thing. [P1]

cryptid-wendigo:

[P 2] It has been going on since mid-july when reportedly the rural people of the municipality of Barceloneta drew the attention of the local news claiming that an ‘unknown creature’ has been killing their chicken (as you probably know, the chicken farming industry in PR is 100% organic and raised in small independent farms which took a bad hit with Hurricane Maria). Coincidentally, this very same thing happened after Hurricane George [P2]

[P3] So in both cases comparatively, twenty years ago, and recently, the target has been mostly chicken, and in both cases the ‘Gargola’ appears after a major hurricane such as was George ‘98 and Maria 2018. Some people even say that it inhabits a cave high in the mountain range where it supposedly has a spawn. This is has been the eye-witness account from various people, including a hunter. Other historically recorded events have been El Vampiro de Moca and La Gargola (2006)

I only heard about things happening in Puerto Rico just today. Thank you for all this information, wow! I didn’t know it has been going on for so long. Could you keep me updated if anything comes to light with it?

How to Help a Friend See they’re Not a Failure

onlinecounsellingcollege:

1. Remind them of all the kind and thoughtful things they’ve done for you, and for the other people in their life.

2. Remind them of times when they’ve pushed ahead, and kept on going, even though it was hard.

3. Remind them of the times when things worked out eventually, and their efforts were rewarded, and they reached a personal goal.

4. Remind of the funny things they’ve said and done, and the times when you’ve laughed, and shared some awsome memories.

5. Show them they are worthwhile and are valuable by doing something special that makes them feel they’re loved.
