Anna Baker’s Dancing Wedding Dress

In 1849, a girl from a very rich family named Anna Baker fell in love with a low class iron worker. Her father did not approve of her love and banished the man from their hometown of Altoona, Pennsylvania.

Anna never did marry and lived a very unhappy and bitter life until she died in 1914. Anna had bought a wedding dress that she intended to wear on her wedding day, but never got a chance to. Another wealthy woman ended up wearing the dress for her wedding and later the dress was placed in a glass case in what was formerly Anna’s bedroom.

It is said that this wedding dress will sway left and right as if a bride is standing in front of a mirror and admiring herself as she sways.

Mortified, I turned around and about a dozen of the lacrosse boys are sitting on a couch they brought outside cracking up.
