Personally I don’t think there’s anything wrong with hybrid houses but equally you could very well be a hufflepuff because nobody in hufflepuff is a ‘always happy’

In fact many of them are grumpy af

Hufflepuff and slytherin are both very similar in that they place a lot of value in hard work and loyalty within their friendships. The difference isn’t a case of ‘hufflepuffs are rays of sunshine and slytherins are an emo aesthetic’ though, it’s more of an ends vs means kind of deal

Hufflepuffs value hard work for the act of hard work. They enjoy knowing they’ve put their full effort into something and expect themselves to always try because that’s what matters. They place a lot of focus on their friendships because they want to make sure the people in their life know that they’re appreciated and valued

Slytherins however value hard work for its results. They work hard because it will help them achieve their goals and they’re much more open than hufflepuffs to bending the rules a little if it will help them get where they want to be. They regard their friendships very highly but are loyal to their friends because they value the loyalty they know they’ll receive in return. It sounds kind of bitchy but it’s more that they enjoy the fraternity aspect of friendship and also won’t stand for one sided relationships or people who screw them over
