Might I point out that animals never rejected Rumple when he was the Dark One. The same can’t be said about another certain Dark One. I think it speaks volumes about Rumple’s heart and soul.

Day 6: Favorite Scene: When Rumplestilskin Find Out That Belle is Alive
I loved the intro of Belle and when Jefferson set her free
to find Gold. Â I knew the reunion was
coming, but I still wasn’t prepared.  It
catches me in my chest every time because he was completely not in a million
years expecting it.  When she says “Do I know
you?”, my heart breaks for him because the reunion is so one-sided, at least
for a minute. Â And when he breaks down and
says he will protect her it make me tear up every time.  Rumbelle forever!“I was told you would protect me”
“Yes, yes!  I will protect you!”
