i was reading genesis yesterday. and something stood out to me.
after adam and eve failed him, God took the time to make clothes out of skin for them, even in their mess. even in their shame.Â
it’s as if he saw the fig leaves they put together, and said “let me make you something better”. while being the least deserving of it.Âthat’s really beautiful to me.
Amen. It’s actually prophetic, pointing to Christ and the day that He would clothe us in His righteousness – so that every day Adam and Eve are reminded not of their mistakes, but of God’s goodness towards them. Now, the days of being naked and ashamed are over with; Christ in is the hope of glory; we have been found by mercy, clothed by grace; fully embraced.
What kind of Christian are you? (Catholic, evangelical…)
Non-denominational, non religious, spiritual Christian. I do not follow religion, which is man made. I follow God. Different denominations are a tool by Satan to divide and conquer religion. Man makes his own interpretations of the bible and makes different denominations/cults. I don’t follow a specific church, for the bible says God does not dwell in man made buildings but of the temple, which is our bodies. We as true Christians should follow Jesus and not man made religions or denominations or church buildings, but offer our bodies as the temple where God dwells and where we worship God. Together, as a whole, we make up the church.

He goes on for like several examples too.
“How can I avoid like, an accidental slip of the hand when…they’re dressin like that?”

People keeping the intended meaning of the Bible while also making Jesus SASSY™ is something I live for.
Best thing about Colbert is that when he nails it, he nails it.
I feel like Colbert is one of the best examples of religious you can ever get. He’s Catholic. He’s one of 11 kids. He teaches SUNDAY SCHOOL. And it never comes off like he’s judging you because you don’t follow his exact path.
I’m an atheist, and I feel like Colbert gets me in a lot of ways. It means a lot.
