Ciel and I
are twins. Ciel was born a little earlier, so he’s the Big Brother. We look so
much alike that even Father and Mother often have trouble telling us apart. But…
when we turned five… I started coughing a lot. Auntie An says that I must take
after my delicate mother. We’re exactly alike… but I’m the only one who’s
sickly… he’s so lucky.

This is probably even more poignant given the twin is now confirmed. If the twin and Lizzy were always playing together, then Ciel might have only been able to stay in and play with his best friend, Sebastian the dog. The only being that loved him unconditionally and never saw him as a “spare.”
