confession: before i started watching gotham, i watched their scenes together in 3×06, starting with this one. i was sitting in the waiting area at a mechanic’s, watching this, and i couldn’t believe what i was seeing. i had no idea who either of these men really were, other than penguin and riddler, but i did know from watching the bottom two gifs play out – these two were clearly smitten with each other, and both were too scared to confront it. i didn’t know their history together, or how they ended up in this position. all i could see was shy flirting and clear adoration.
the pessimist in me says that the gotham creators will never let this be canon because that’s not the story they want to tell. i accept if that must happen – even if i see it differently. i always saw it differently, ever since that day in the autoshop, where i screeched and everyone looked at me, wondering what i was watching
love! i was watching love! and i will always believe that, even if/when everything goes to hell, and even if/when it doesn’t become canon.
For real…They film this and now they’d expect us to believe that it’s unrequited love? Just look at Ed’s face in the scene pls…
I came into that fandom after I saw gifs with Edward I believe in you Oswald even if you don’t believe in yourself Nygma (not even after love-riddle). that words reminded me about Hannibal and
beloved’s potential
so all I saw in that scene was Edward Nygma in love with Oswald Cobblepot. and there won’t be anything that can make me think another way. it started from Edward so it can’t be one-sided, oh my god.
I’m hoping that we work up to the cane, I keep requesting it. Because what I would love… you know, Penguin has a cane, I was like “C’mon, man! Cane fight! Can’t we have a cane fight? I want a cane fight!” But we can’t have a cane fight until I get a cane, so I want a cane.
