Soo I just watched s21 again. Let me just say my comic things have zero continuity š the characterization kinda goes all over, and the same with their dynamic. I kinda thought about Kyleās character arc and sort of worked it into how heād react to his feelings (I headcannon him as being less in touch with them, so thatās why heās more hesitant sometimes)
When thinking of someone who enjoys doing things alone, what words come to mind? Loner? Recluse? Mouse? Shrinking Violet? Hermit? All of the above? Or is there another term that you would use?
Unsurprisingly you associated these words with people who enjoy being alone. Human beings are seen as āsocial creaturesā, Ā meaning that people are more likely to be around other people and thrive in public settings. People view wanting to spend time and share experiences with other people as natural.
So, those who sit alone when eating, go to the cinema alone, who commonly fit into the Introvert personality type, quite often gain pity of people around them for being ālonelyā as they donāt fit into the āSocial Creaturesā of what humans are expected to be.
People who donāt fit the category of a āSocial Creatureā are quite often pitied for being ālonelyā. Another thing which quite often happens is that people try to āfixā them for their love, sometimes need, of solitude. It is key to remember that this is through no fault of their own. Those who fear to be alone quite often projectā¦
So the idea of Professor Sycamore being a member of Team
Flare. Iāve always loved the idea and thought at a time that that was a twist
that Game Freak was planning to pull in X and Yās story. So when it didnāt
happen I was a bit shocked, but actually a bit more disappointed.
Flare!Sycamore is extremely fun to explore because it causes
you to have to consider what would cause the Professor, the loveable dork, to
be a member of such a group. (The answer canāt just be Lysā cummies.) Iāve seen
it considered that he is a secret member of the group in an effort to thwart Lysandreās
plan and I love that idea to pieces. However, what about the idea that he is a
completely willing member of the group. Someone who is willing to stick with
the whole end goal regardless.
This is simply an idea, or a headcanon of sorts. By no means
do I think that there is hard evidence to suggest that he actually was. I
simply want to create a scenario in which it may be believable that he was a
willing member if Team Flare and not just a spy in the ranks.
