Yâall have a lot of nerve saying that immigrants are going to destroy âyourâ culture by simply existing with their different religions, languages, customs, food, etc. as if Europe and the US havenât actively gone to countries and regions all over the world and literally destroyed their culture by toppling their governments, killing their citizens, bringing in destructive corporations that drain their resources and force them out, and purposefully stomping out their languages, religions, and traditions.Â

If you would report an undocumented immigrant to ICE you would have reported me to the Nazis and I donât fucking trust you
A note:
I live in a state where you âhave toâ report anyone you suspect of being undocumented (that wonderful hellhole of Arizona). Now in practice this law has fallen far short, thank goodness. But if you live in such a place and they start enforcing it, here is how you get around it:
Assume everyone who doesnât speak English is visiting.
Never ask about their job, because if they tell you they work here then you know theyâre not visiting. You see them a lot for several weeks or months? Hm. Someone in the family must be ill. Thatâs terribly tough. They always dress in old, ratty laborersâ clothes? I feel you, my dude, I canât afford new clothes either, and my dad has the fashion sense of an aardvark, so sometimes itâs not even about âaffordingâ them. They say theyâve been here for years? You must have misunderstood. Spanish isnât your first language, after all. First and last name? It never came up, or you donât recallâyou meet a lot of people.
And then, if youâre asked: no, you havenât seen anyone residing illegally in the United States. Just people visiting.
Very good very important addition
âWell, maybe they shouldnât come here illegally.â
Iâve seen this phrase used a number of times in response to outrage over the handling of migrants at the border, i.e. detention camps, putting people in cages and tents, separating children from their families, and so on.
I want to make one thing crystal clear: when you say that, youâre using the language of abusers. It is akin to:
- She wouldnât have been harassed if she didnât dress like a whore,
- If she didnât want to get raped, she shouldnât have drank so much,
- The other kids wouldnât pick on him if he werenât such a pussy,
- I wouldnât have to beat her if she didnât talk to that other guy,
- He wouldnât have been shot if he didnât break the law,
- If she were more trustworthy, I wouldnât have to monitor her communication,
- If she was keeping his money from him, he should have left the relationship. He needs to own his decisions.
This is called victim blaming. It is abuse.
The truth is that America can enforce its borders without violating human rights and treating other people as subhuman. The federal government, and by that I mean the executive branch and its agencies under President Trump, does not need to execute the law in the way itâs doing. It chooses to do so proactively.
Stop the abuse, stop the language of abuse.
Good day,
Tom
All these people commenting âno one forces them to cross the borderâ, ‘they are criminals and should be treated as suchâ, etc are full of BULLSHIT. This is no longer just an immigrant issue, you ignorant citizens that have no way of knowing what it is to live in a country ruled by fear and economic instability that the U.S helped cause (may I remind you). This is now a HUMAN RIGHT ISSUE, if y’all havenât noticed. But hey, apparently Americans have gotten so used to treating other humans that arenât their ‘ownâ like shit they donât see a problem with dehumanizing other people (including children) anymore. I mean, look at its history. (And this is a fact; donât you dare come to me as an Anon and try to tell me otherwise.)
âWell, maybe those other countries should fix their problems. Itâs not our fault they face violence.â
Are you kidding me. You think they arenât trying? The people fight=they are shut down by the government through force. A govervent that the U.S had a hand in helping come to power. No one told the U.S they had to mendle with Latin American countries and mess them up, and yetâŠhere we are.
Stop dehumanizing other people. Stop acting like this should be the norm. Stop the abuse, and also, stop being hypocrites; you think your blood is a 100â American? Face it, ‘Americanâ is a nationality. Stop treating others like they are beneath you just because their lives arenât as lucky as your own.
This Trump policy is NOT about security. The policy is a white nationalist dream come true. It tortures an âout groupâ, and it sends a message to racists in the GOP base that Trump stands with you.
This has really nothing to do with my account and what I usually post but I just needed to make some people aware. The United States is already on stage 7.
