I need this to be addressed in S2 – seriously.  Jim thinks that a man who wanted him dead is the best option for the city because he was friends with his dead father.

Not even that. What about the fact Jim does not know Oswald saved him in this instance? Some of us discussed this a number of times. We hoped the writers would address Saviour Oswald in the finale. Nothing.

Come on, Oswald! What’s it going to take for you to tell Jim that you saved his life?

I really hope that the writers don’t just brush this under the carpet.

You have hope that Saviour Oswald will be mentioned in S2?

Some. It’s shrinking, but I’m clinging to it.

There’s a significant amount of ‘oops’ around this plot point just about every way you look at it.  It could be interesting, if they remember it exists.

It would force Jim to question his judgment about Falcone (which made no damn sense anyway).

It would also force him to totally reassess his thinking on Oswald, since Oswald didn’t have to do all those favours – they were technically even.  More than that, Oswald didn’t try to use it to gain leverage over him, didn’t even mention it.

I have a sneaking suspicion it’ll never be mentioned again, though.
