It’s such a huge contrast to season 2 where Oswald was fixed to be completely sane, and here we get to see him rage completely like an animal along side clown boy.

Oswald has been suppressing too many things for too long. He was accused for ‘killing’ his father in season 3, for ‘killing’ Martin in the car explosion, and now he’s to blame for Carmine Falcone’s death??????? NOPE. THAT’S ENOUGH. My boy needs to vent, to scream, to cry, to laugh. And Jerome is there to help. And Jerome is there to help him. Good babies.

Agreed. I really hope we get some sort of callback to Fish’s words to him, “Make this city yours or you burn it to the ground.” And I am all for it tbh

Oswald was ready to die for his mother.

Oswald went to jail for Jim. The place he was physically and mentally tortured.

Oswald was ready to burn the city he loves to the ground to get Ed back.

Oswald was ready to forgive Ed even after he disrespected his father’s corpse.

Oswald was ready to die for Ed even after he almost killed him.

Oswald still couldn’t kill Ed, even after everything he did to him.

Oswald wanted to forgive Sofia and give her a second chance, knowing she was going behind his back.

Oswald ate a human pie and forced others to eat it to protect Martin.

Oswald jumped in front of a gun to protect Martin.

Oswald, who was already planning on giving Martin his kingdom after he is gone, faked Martin’s death and did everything he could to make sure he would never be put in harms way again.

Oswald, who cares for Martin and was ready to look after him, sends him away knowing he can never see him again just to keep him safe.

Oswald Cobblepot would sacrifice everything for the people he cares about.

This is why I love penguin as character so much. What happened tonight shows that he is still that brilliant scheming bird boy we met back in season 1. Maybe an even more adult one. He protected Martin, even if that means to fake his death. To fake that he has murdered him.
He has always had a soft spot. Oswald will rather be seen as monster that murders innocent children then let Martin get in danger again. This is my boy!
