Just the fact that it wasn’t romantic love that saved Regina. Yes, there was her son and friends. But ultimatley, it was accepting herself. Forgiving herself.

This scene was so beautiful. Balancing her heart with the love from herself and the darkness from her counterpart. Not trying to get rid of her darker half who was filled with so much hate, but balancing and accepting both emotions. Accepting herself for who she is and her past completely.
