You guys know the symbols for the teams in Pokemon Go, right? Hexagon, triangle, and circle with the corresponding bird inside. Well, I just noticed something. The symbols for Valor and Instinct look familiar. You know where I’ve seen a Moltres in a circle and a Zapdos in a triangle?
Yup. The symbols remind me of the cages our good friend Lawrence III used in the Power of One. Probably just a coincidence. Probably.
I CAUGHT MY FIRST LEGENDARY!! AND WITH A REGULAR POKEBALL TO BOOT!!
Should have seen me, was throwing berry after berry and was like fuuuu when my ultra balls ran out, which weren’t many to begin with! But I can’t believe a regular pokeball caught Suicune!!
What’s this? Trainers, thanks to your field reports, we can now confirm that a brand-new species of Pokémon has just been discovered! Introducing Meltan, the Hex Nut Pokémon! Professor Oak and Professor Willow have teamed up to research this mysterious new Pokémon. Take a look at their findings so far: http://bit.ly/2OJrMyN
Pokemon fans all over the globe have been quite excited lately over a mysterious no-named pokemon appearing in Pokemon Go. Recently it was found that a mysterious Ditto like pokemon was added into Pokemon Go, and when catching a Ditto recently, it would sometimes turn into this metal creature with a big metal nut as his head and a silver body. Many assumed this was a glitch or even perhaps a placeholder since Pokemon had been teasing it would reveal a new pokemon for the new games Pokemon Lets Go: Eevee and Pokemon Lets Go: Pikachu.
Turns out, this was actually completely intentional!
“If you’ve caught a Ditto in #PokemonGO recently…you might want to take a closer look! 😱 We can now confirm reports of wild Ditto transforming into the new Hex Nut Pokémon, Meltan” – Pokemon’s official twitter.
Meltan is a Steel type pokemon with the height of 8 inches and a weight of 17.6 LBs. according to The Pokemon Company, Meltan’s body is made from liquid metal and it uses that metal to generate electricity!
“#Meltan has a body made from liquid metal, and its shape is very fluid. It uses its liquid arms and legs to corrode metal and absorb it into its own body.”
“But it doesn’t stop there! #Meltan uses the metal in its body to generate electricity. ⚡️
It uses this electricity in two ways—as a source of energy and as an attack that can be fired from its eye”
– Pokemon’s official twitter
It also appears this Pokemon is set to be catchable or at least tradable into the upcoming Lets Go Pokemon games!
What do you think of Meltan? I think he is quite a adorable addition to the Pokemon species!
