to those of you who are housebound: how do you fill your days? I’m struggling with feeling unproductive and feeling like my life is without meaning

Reading, Netflix, video games, and painting. Painting helps me feel like I’m being productive and the others distract me enough so I don’t feel unproductive. Definitely recommend a hobby of some sort.

I take online classes at a community college, the problem with that is that you have to go to sign up. And depending on the class you may have to go to orientation and go on campus to take finals. Tho many are purely online.

You could also take free MOOC classes online. Read books on subjects you like. Watch informative videos on youtube. Maybe be creative like write fanfiction or create your own. If this is too tiring I also listen to audiobooks. Youtube sometimes has good ones.

This is what I do. Hope you find an activity you enjoy!!

So, I had to write this poem for my Humanities class – Answering both or just one of these two questions – What does your particular heritage say are the most important things for you to remember? What do you think are the most important things for us to remember to keep the twenty-first-century American community alive and functioning?

And of course I chose my heritage and came up with this poem. It also had to have a structure to Joy Harjo’s “Remember” poem.

Hope u guys like the poem!!!!

@everly-has-wings I thought you might like this 😀

Remember the blood and land,

which you carry in your veins

Remember the struggle of your people

And of your parents,

How they struggled and fought for a better life

Remember our hands that have upheld their world

The forces we have fought against

The discrimination we have endured

Yet, remember how we stand tall and strong

like the eagle on our flag,

With pride we will spread our wings

and conquer, we will not be tamed

Remember, ours is the revolution we fight

the pride of our ancestors blood

Remember together we stand,

Oh brothers and sisters of mine,

Unity is white,

with the great land we built

Remember, our God who sees us through

day and night

Remember who we are

Remember who you are

Remember the pride of your people

and of yourself

The eagle who eats the snake,

Victory is ours forevermore

@kuramirocket I do like it! Amazing, bestie 😊

@everly-has-wings Thanks!! Clearly, I used a lot of symbolism from the Mexican flag ^^ ❤🇮🇹

@kuramirocket i noticed! I love those parts. 😄

@everly-has-wings Ahhh thanks!! Normally, I see myself as being horrible at poems, but this one came easy to me. Probably cause of the pride I have. Mexico 💚♡
