Someone needs to translate the Next Episode preview, itâs actually narrated by Gozu and Matori, and sounds hilarious. Nice to see that even serious Rockets have a goofy side.
Musashi and Kojiro claim that they used to attend the private Trainer School from this episode.
The allusions to cherry blossoms reference the start of the standard Japanese school year in April when said blossoms generally begin to bloom. The bloom span of cherry blossoms is very short, usually lasting two weeks before they start falling.
Surrender to us now or youâll surely lose the fight!
And the fact that Jesse and James get it wrong and make it positive says a whole fucking lot about their personalities.
omg
We should also take note of their mottos from the original, Japanese, version-
Musashi: If you ask us this or thatâŠÂ
KojirĆ: The pity of the world is what responds!Â
Musashi: To prevent the destruction of the world!Â
KojirĆ: To protect the peace of the world!Â
Musashi: To stand by the evils of love and truth!Â
KojirĆ: The lovely, charmy villains!Â
Musashi: Musashi!Â
KojirĆ: KojirĆ!
Musashi: The pair from the Rocket gang soars through the galaxy!Â
KojirĆ: A white hole, a white tomorrow awaits us!Â
Nyarth: Something like that!
Yamato: If you ask us this or thatâŠÂ
Kosaburou: We usually donât respondÂ
Both: But weâll make an exception this time and answer!
Yamato: To prevent the destruction of the Earth!Â
Kosaburou: To protect the peace of the Earth!Â
Yamato: To stand by evil with love and sincerity!Â
Kosaburou: The cute, mischievous villains!Â
Yamato: Yamato!Â
Kosaburou: Kosaburou!Â
Yamato: The pair from Team Rocket soars through the universe!
Kosaburou: Shocking pink, a pink tomorrow awaits us!
So, as you can see, originally Yamatoâs and Kosaburouâs motto did contain those positive lines of âpreventâ and âprotectâ, with a few alterations, but for some reason 4kids chose to make Cassidyâs and Butchâs motto completely negative in the dub. Although itâs obvious they did this to make them 100% opposites of Jessie and James due to the fact the two TR teams are rivals.
This phrase used by the TRio represents their connection to larger Rocket Gang activities and their personal engagement in the matter. It appears throughout all the recent series which proves the writers DID NOT forget about this little detail. As expected, Sun and Moon is no different and I really hope the TRio will start to use that line a bit more, meaning theyâre actually used in the plot here and there is consistency to it (unlike the forgotten-afterwards Rocket/Zygarde plot from XYZ).
yo what episode is the bottom from i legit dont recognize it?!?!
The episode with Jigglypuff at school, soon after the end of Nebbyâs arc. The translation in the subs is a bit different but itâs the same Japanese catchphrase.
