And the fact that Jesse and James get it wrong and make it positive says a whole fucking lot about their personalities.

So, as you can see, originally Yamato’s and Kosaburou’s motto did contain those positive lines of “prevent” and “protect”, with a few alterations, but for some reason 4kids chose to make Cassidy’s and Butch’s motto completely negative in the dub. Although it’s obvious they did this to make them 100% opposites of Jessie and James due to the fact the two TR teams are rivals.
